A beautiful and unusual Australian bi-metal precious metal coin issued by The Perth Mint to commemorate the Gregorian Millennium.
The coin combines approximately 9.5 grams of 99.9% pure gold with a 99.9% pure silver centre, creating one of the more distinctive Perth Mint releases of the period.
Originally limited to a maximum mintage of 7,500, only 6,208 coins were ultimately declared minted, making this a genuinely low-mintage Australian gold collectable.
