The narrative revolves around Grandma Poss using her magical powers to make Hush invisible, intending to shield the child from the perils of the Australian Bush. As the story unfolds, Grandma Poss and Hush embark on a journey across Australia to discover the cure to make Hush visible again.
The coin series comprises four $1 coins and three color-printed $2 coins, featuring evocative illustrations by Julie Vivas, the artist behind the original story's visual elements. Additionally, Vivas crafted a new reverse design showcasing Hush engrossed in reading, a charming scene that graces a one cent coin. These coins artfully capture the essence of Possum Magic, delighting collectors and readers alike with the timeless magic of this beloved Australian tale.
The reverse design of the coin features an enchanting portrayal titled "Invisible Hush hanging from a tree." In this artistic representation, Hush is depicted hanging upside down from a tree branch, her tail gracefully curled around it, and her curious head looking forward.
