Ford's crushing one-two form finish at Bathurst 1977 provided a seminal moment in Australian motor racing history. Even so, Ford Australia wasn't enjoying much showroom success with its XC Falcon hardtops. But a clever piece of strategy by Edsel Ford II, Henry Ford's great-Frandson, turned this around.
While earning his stripes with a posting at Broa dows, Edsel suggested using the revered "Cobra" moniker and striped paintwork for a limited edition batch of 400 Falcon V8 hardtops.
While there were no mechanical changes to this special model over regular versions, the concept proved a masterstroke. The XC Falcon Cobra sold out in just days, its unmistakable blue-on-white striped colour scheme making it one of Australia's most iconic muscle cars.

I was sent the wrong coin, which was disappointing. I’ve been told the correct coin will be sent, that was 4 days ago, as yet I’ve not received any tracking information so I’m guessing it hasnt been in the post yet. It took the seller 7 days to put the wrong coin in the post according to tracking. This was my first time dealing with coin exchange. Happy to update my review if/when I receive the correct coin.
