Somebody made a whoopsie. . Actually, technically multiple bodies did!

The PNC packaging and stamp are themed for the "Rum Rebellion," but the physical coin inside is the "Mutiny on the Bounty" $1 coin.
The mistake was discovered on the morning of release at the Sydney Stamp and Coin Expo. Sale of the PNC's at the show was suspended at around midday, by which time only 80 of the 200 day 1 France Day postmark show overprint issues had been sold.

Some collectors made a rapid exit from the show to local Post Offices in an attempt to secure the standard PNC error packs. However, Australia Post was quick to react and it is understood that few (possibly up to a further 150) were sold by Post Office outlets before sales were suspended.

Due to its scarcity and the clear nature of the error, it has become highly sought after by collectors.
