From the Royal Australian Mint's 'Proclamation Coins of Australia' series — the 2000 $1 fine silver proof featuring the famous 1797 'Cartwheel Penny' Britannia design, one of the coins declared legal tender in the 1800 Proclamation of early colonial New South Wales. Struck in 1oz of 99.9% fine silver to proof quality, 40mm. Presented in the RAM presentation case with the illustrated box and a numbered Certificate of Authenticity (No. 07410). Queen Elizabeth II 2000 obverse. A lovely piece of Australian monetary history. One only.
