This 2017 Centenary of the Trans-Australian Railway $1 Silver Proof Coin was released by the Royal Australian Mint to mark the 100th anniversary of the historic 1,690-kilometer rail link between Port Augusta and Kalgoorlie.

Mintage: Strictly limited to 4,500 pieces
Mintmark: Features a 'C' for the Canberra Mint

Design Details:
- Reverse: Depicts a stylized 'G Class' locomotive and carriages from the original journey, billowing smoke across an arid landscape, with railway tracks in the foreground.
- Obverse: Features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
