Up for sale is a genuine 2001 Centenary of Federation Uncirculated 2-Coin Set (Tasmania Edition), produced by the Royal Australian Mint. This beautifully carded collector set celebrates Tasmania’s place and history within the 100-year milestone of the Australian Federation.
The set features two distinct, uncirculated legal tender coins packaged securely in its original protective sleeve:
• 20-Cent Coin: Features a striking design of the iconic, extinct Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) standing proudly in front of a rough outline map of Tasmania.
• 50-Cent Coin: Features the official Coat of Arms of Tasmania.
Mintage Figures:
• Set Production Limit: Only 14,561 of these exact two-coin uncirculated packs were released by the mint. (This is an exceptionally low presentation pack print run, making it quite scarce compared to other states!)
• Individual Coin Mintages (for context):
