Up for sale is a genuine 2001 Centenary of Federation Uncirculated 2-Coin Set (Western Australia Edition), produced by the Royal Australian Mint. This beautifully carded collector set celebrates Western Australia’s role and history within the 100-year milestone of the Australian Federation.
The set features two distinct, uncirculated legal tender coins packaged securely in its original protective sleeve:
• 20-Cent Coin: Features a reverse design winning entry by a local student, showcasing the Red and Green Kangaroo Paw flower alongside the endangered Greater Bilby overlaid on an outline map of Western Australia.
• 50-Cent Coin: Features the official Coat of Arms of Western Australia.
Mintage Figures:
• Set Production Limit: Only 11,527 of these exact two-coin uncirculated packs were released by the mint. (This makes the WA presentation card significantly lower in production than many other states in this series!)
• Individual Coin Mintages (for context):
• 2001 Western Australia 20c: 2.4 Million
• 2001 Western Australia 50c: 2.4 Million
Condition: Uncirculated (UNC). Package is intact and well-preserved. Please refer to the photos for exact cosmetic condition.
