2014 $1 “AL” Albany Counterstamp Coin.
2014 $1 “M” Melbourne Counterstamp Coin.

To mark the 100 years of the embarkation of the first convoy of AIF soldiers to Egypt, the public
was invited to strike the initials ‘AL’ onto the 2014 $1 Circulating Coin - 100 Years of Anzac using
the mobile press to mark the centenary event at ‘Anzac Albany’ in Western Australia.

The Mint was also in attendance at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne, on Remembrance Day. The public were able to strike an ‘M’ counterstamp onto the 2014 $1 Circulating Coin - 100 Years of Anzac using the mobile press throughout the day on 11 November 2014.
