Up for sale is this perfectly graded/ slabbed 2024-P125 Kalkadoon Dreaming $1 coin: PCGS MS70 – perfect grade with exceptional eye appeal and strike, featuring the stunning Indigenous artwork of Chern’ee Sutton and the P125 mintmark, commemorating 125 years of Perth Mint.

This coin was the first in the indigenous series, with the Ngana Nyitting release following in 2025.

The 2024 Kalkadoon Dreaming is one of those modern Australian releases that feels much more meaningful than a standard collectable. Created in PNC format in collaboration with Australia Post and The Perth Mint, it features artwork by acclaimed contemporary Kalkadoon / Kalkatungu artist Chern’ee Sutton, whose work celebrates her traditional Country around the Mount Isa region of north-west Queensland. The design carries real story and cultural weight, with the emu, kangaroo and bird, flowing journey lines and community gathering circles reflecting Country, movement, connection and storytelling. Chern’ee is a nationally recognised First Nations artist, with her work held in collections in Australia and overseas, including the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace. With a limited release of only 7,500 PNCs (with very few highly graded examples), strong visual appeal, Indigenous art significance and growing collector interest in Chern’ee Sutton art, this has become a standout modern Australian coin with genuine long-term collectability beyond just the coin itself.
